TRINITY SERVICES AND EVENTS CANCELLED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

Following the recommendation of the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC),state and local health officials, Trinity Lutheran Church will be not be holding worship services in our church building UNTIL FURTHER.  In addition all bible studies and church activities are cancelled. Our congregation has a large number of members that are susceptible to this virus. Hopefully in a couple weeks the effects of this virus will pass. The Executive Committee gave this much thought and discussion. As a faith community we didn’t want to make a decision based on fear. Our decision was based on the need to protect our brothers and sisters from harm. TLC is a community of believers not the physical building. Hopefully we can help our neighbors and friends with acts of kindness during this time of waiting. Let’s blanket this virus with prayer. Pray for God’s miraculous hand of healing upon this land and world. Pray for comfort for those recovering from the virus. Pray for the protection from others contracting the virus. Pray for the doctors and nurses that are giving medical care to us all. Pray that the government agencies will do the things they need to defeat this terrible disease.

We are working on taping Pastor Barb’s sermons which will be posted on Facebook and the TLC website (https://www.trinitylutheranbirchwood.com). Hopefully you can listen to those sermons in the coming weeks. There are a number of resources available that we can use to worship our gracious and loving God.  We are in the process of setting up a Trinity YouTube channel in order to offer videos of the weekly sermons.  The link is a long one, but copy and paste it into your browser to view sermons.  The first one will be posted this Friday!

P.S.  Click on the subscribe button at the YouTube page and when we get 100 subscribers we can change our link name to an easier one!!
